Valentino Alessi
Valentino Alessi is a 14-year-old who received a grant to compete in the 2024 Electric Karting Rookie Championship. This prestigious event, organised by the Global Karting League and founded by former Formula 1 Ferrari engineer Rob Smedley, represents the pinnacle of electric karting competition.

In June 2023, Valentino was personally invited by the Global Karting League to showcase his skills at the Shenington Kart Racing Club. He impressively outperformed 16 experienced drivers by 2.25 seconds, demonstrating his natural racing ability, precision, and adaptability.
Following this outstanding performance, he was invited again by the Global Karting League to participate in the Southern Championship race at Rye House Kart Raceway in August 2023. Despite limited practice, Valentino secured a commendable 9th position in qualifying and achieved a podium finish, taking 2nd place in the race final.
Valentino's passion for racing has been unwavering since he first took the wheel of a kart at age 5. He has consistently showcased his talent at local karting tracks, breaking junior track records and making a mark on the adult circuit as well. Valentino aims to turn his karting hobby into a lifelong career as a professional racing driver.

Valentino received a £5,000 grant to cover the expenses for participating in the race weekends of the championship, which comprises nine rounds. The funds will be allocated to cover the costs of four practice and coaching sessions on Saturdays, as well as one practice session, two qualifying sessions, and the final race session on Sundays.
